Helping Your Child Navigate Grief

Gentle, practical support to help your child feel safe, understood and connected when someone they love has died. Created by therapist and bereaved mum Nici Robinson

Registered MBACP (Accred) Therapist • 17 years' experience

You don't need to have all the answers

When someone your child loves dies, it can be difficult to know what to say or how to help. You may be navigating your own grief while trying to make sense of theirs.

But your child doesn't need you to have all the answers. Sometimes, they simply need to know:

I'm here.
You're loved.
We'll find our way together.

I've created this free guide to share gentle, practical advice drawn from my experience as a therapist and as a mum who has experienced the heartbreak of losing a child.

My hope is that it helps you feel a little more confident supporting your child through grief, while reminding you that you don't have to get everything right.

With love, Nici x

MEET THE THERAPIST BEHIND THE TOOLKIT

Hi, I’m Nici

I'm a Registered MBACP Accredited Therapist with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology and 17 years' experience supporting children, young people and adults. I'm also a mum of four and the founder of Blue Bear & Co.

After losing my son Charlie, I combined my personal experience of grief with my professional experience as a therapist to create bears designed to bring comfort and connection when families need it most.

This toolkit brings together some of the simple, practical ideas I've learnt both professionally and as a parent. Take what feels helpful for your child, and leave the rest.
