Through our charity Thumbs Up for Charlie and other charitable funding, we’ve already been able to place bears into the hands of bereaved mums and families who need them most.
We are thrilled to announce, our first business partner PM+M Solutions has already committed to gifting 5 bears to Derian House Children’s Hospice.
Huge thanks also to The Elsie Davis Trust, whose generous support helped us provide Brown Bears to bereaved families receiving support through Thumbs Up for Charlie.
Our Mission
When my son Charlie was diagnosed, life changed in an instant.
I found myself living between hospital and home, our family split between two worlds, everything we once knew beginning to shift.
And when Charlie died, I just wanted something I could hold onto…
Something that felt like him. Something that kept that connection alive.
That’s where Blue Bear & Co began.
Today, our bears are designed to help families hold onto love through voice, scent and touch whether separated by distance or something far greater.
The Partnership
The Bears for Life Partnership invites businesses to help make these bears accessible to families who need them most.
Together, we fund bears that are gifted through hospices, hospitals and charities, placing something meaningful into the arms of a child or parent during their most difficult moments.
Why it matters
Each bear becomes more than just something soft to hold.
It becomes:
a voice that can still be heard
a scent that brings someone close
a connection that doesn’t fade
Something a family can return to, again and again.
Already Making an impact
We are proud to already be working alongside Derian House Children’s Hospice, where businesses are funding bears to be gifted to families in their care.
We also support East Lancashire Hospice, who have already introduced our bears through their own fundraising efforts, showing just how meaningful this support can be for families.
With businesses including PM + M Solutions and more partnerships in progress, this is just the beginning.
